Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to grow your trees, ship your chocolate and answer your questions. We do not sell your data. This page explains what we keep and why.

What we collect

When you order, request a quote or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, farm or business name, physical and postal address, Bona Fide Farmer decree number (if you give one), order details (items, quantities, pickup time, payment status) and quote details (tree type, quantity, how you heard about us).

If you subscribe to chocolate, Stripe also holds your card details and billing address; we only see the last four digits and expiry.

Why we use it

To fulfill orders and issue invoices and contracts; to coordinate pickup at the nursery or shipping to your address; to respond to quotes and questions; to send order, shipping and payment emails; and to keep the records the tax authorities require.

We send the newsletter only if you ticked the box to receive it. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link; you can also email us to opt out.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of service providers, each only for the job named: Stripe (card payments and subscriptions), Vercel (website hosting), Neon (our database), Google / Gmail (sending and receiving email), Google Analytics and Google Ads (counting visits and measuring which of our ads lead to quotes and orders; see Cookies below), EasyPost and USPS (shipping labels and tracking, only when we ship to you) and phone (customer conversations you start with us).

These providers may process data outside Puerto Rico, including on the US mainland. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to anyone.

How long we keep it

Order, invoice and payment records are kept for as long as Puerto Rico tax and accounting rules require (generally several years). Quote requests and leads that never become orders are deleted or anonymized after about two years. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop receiving marketing, by emailing rafael@nexusmarkets.io. We will answer within 30 days. We may keep records we are legally required to keep (for example, invoices).

Cookies and browser storage

Functional storage keeps the site working: your language preference and the contents of your basket are kept in your browser, and admin staff use a login cookie.

On our public pages we also use Google Analytics. It sets cookies to count visits and to tell us which Google ads brought you here and whether the visit led to a quote request or an order. Google receives your IP address, device and browser details and the pages you view; we do not send it your name, email, phone number or payment details, and the tag is switched off on receipts, contracts, invoices, unsubscribe links and our staff pages.

You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). Blocking them does not affect ordering.

Children

Our site is for adults buying trees and chocolate. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
